Mr. Al Hamar previously served as Head of Takaful & Retakaful Firms Supervision at the Central Bank of Bahrain, where he played a pivotal role in enhancing regulatory oversight, developing supervisory frameworks, and supporting the sustainable growth of the Islamic insurance industry in the Kingdom of Bahrain. He also served as Secretary of the Motor Accident Claims Compensation Fund Board, overseeing governance, claims, and investment affairs. Mr. Al Hamar holds a Master’s degree in Islamic Finance from Coventry University, UK, and possesses several professional qualifications, including the Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII) and Chartered Insurance Practitioner designation from the Chartered Insurance Institute, as well as the Level 7 Certificate in Strategic Management and Leadership Practice (CMI Level 7) from the Chartered Management Institute.
